My daughter is home from college
for 3 weeks. On the way home, we stopped by her grandparents' home. Her grandfather gave my daughter his bike, a 1982 Huffy Good Vibrations
, that is equipped with a large basket.
Even though it is 22 years old, it is in mint condition. She spent several hours cleaning the bike, polishing the chrome, and remounting the basket. She is excited that the basket is large enough to carry her books and/or art supplies to class.
On our next trip to my parents' home, we will acquire my mother's bike that she received when she was in the sixth grade (66 years ago). This was also the bike I used during my childhood. By the time my daughter works her magic, it will also look brand new.
